This
is another piece I made up on the piano when I was in high school. At that time it had no title, and I certainly
had no idea of a story that it was telling.
When
I was a music major in college, I once forced my music theory professor to
listen to it. He thought it was nothing
more than mere worthless child’s play, and, musically, I know that he was
right. But creatively, I always had a
fondness for it, if I do say so myself.
Then,
nearly 20 years later, I reworked this song on my Ensoniq and it took on a
whole new character, and it made me think of city driving, because I could
picture the old Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin films with it.
But
it was not until I put pictures to it on November 23, 2011 that I could see
what the story was, some 40 years after I first made up the song.
As
with all of the videos for our songs, the music came first. In other words, the video was made for the
music, not the other way around.
