When
I made up this song, I just thought to myself, “Well, every songwriter should
have a train song.”
I
must extend my appreciation to my drummer.
We did not keep in touch after we recorded his part and I don’t even
remember his name. All I know about him
is that he was a marine stationed at Camp Pendleton, and he was a real pleasure
to work with. He also worked with me on
“Fixed (and Prefixed)”. I’m sorry I
don’t remember your name, brother, but thanks.
You did a fantastic job. And
thank you for your service to our country.
If
I can’t say anything else about this song, it does have one distinction: There was a radio station in L.A. that used
to play peoples’ amateur tapes about once a week around midnight. After I finished this song I sent it in, they
played it and my wife and I heard it. So
I have had 1 song played on the radio – my one and only 2 ½ minutes of fame!
Love it Monty
